Why this role exists
Growth & Strategy is where Virohan's next set of bets gets made and tested around new institutional partnerships and activating new geographies. Each of those initiatives starts as a messy, ambiguous question and has to end as a working, measurable business process.
We are looking for someone to own those initiatives end to end. This is not a coordination role and it is not a slide-making role. It is closer to an Entrepreneur-in-Residence: you will be handed a problem with no playbook, and you will be expected to go build the playbook — get the data, form a point of view, get buy-in, execute it yourself, and hand over something that runs.
If you have been waiting for the kind of role where the scope is set by how much you can actually carry, this is that role.

What you'll own
  • Projects, end to end. Take a strategic priority from a one-line brief to a live, running outcome — diagnosis, plan, execution, measurement, handover. You will own the result, not just the process.
  • Decision-grade analysis. Build the models and the numbers that decisions get made on: unit economics, funnel and cohort analysis, pricing, capacity and ROI. Find the number nobody has looked at yet, and tell us what it means.
  • New bets, from zero. Run structured experiments on new growth channels, partnership models and revenue lines. Kill what doesn't work quickly and honestly; scale what does.
  • Operating cadence. Build the dashboards, reviews and metric definitions the team runs on, so performance is visible and problems surface early rather than late.
  • Cross-functional execution. Work across sales, academics, placements, marketing and product to get things done without having authority over any of them — through clarity, credibility and follow-through.
  • Writing that moves people. Produce the memos, business cases, partner proposals and board-ready narratives that get a decision made. Clear writing is a core deliverable here, not a nice-to-have.
  • Founder-level leverage. Step into whatever is most broken or most important at a given moment. The brief will change. That is the job.
What we're looking for
  • 3–7 years of experience, with significant time in a startup — you know what it feels like when there is no process, no data and no one to ask.
  • Sharp, logical, first-principles thinking. You break ambiguous problems into parts, reason from evidence rather than convention, and change your mind when the numbers say so.
  • Genuine comfort with data. You are fluent in spreadsheets — pivots, lookups, modelling, clean structure — and you build your own analysis rather than waiting on someone else's. SQL or Python is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Strong AI leverage. You already use Claude and similar AI tools to think faster, research deeper, draft better and automate the boring parts. We want someone who compounds their own output.
  • Excellent written communication. You can turn a tangle of context into two crisp paragraphs that a busy reader acts on.
  • Drive and ownership. You close loops without being chased. You are the person who has historically been handed the hard project because you finish things.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and pace. Shifting priorities, incomplete information and a fast clock energise you rather than paralyse you.
  • A bias for the ground. Willingness to get out of the office — to a campus, a hospital, a partner's cabin — and see the business as it actually is.
Nice to have
  • Founder or founding-team experience, or something you built and ran yourself.
  • Background in consulting, VC, or a strategy or chief-of-staff function at a high-growth company.
  • Exposure to education, healthcare, skilling or workforce businesses.
  • Experience with B2B2C or institutional partnership models.
This role is probably not for you if
  • You want a stable, well-defined scope and a clear playbook handed to you.
  • You prefer to route analysis and execution to someone else and review the output.
  • You measure your work in decks and status updates rather than outcomes.
What you get
  • Direct exposure to leadership, with real ownership over decisions that shape the company's next phase.
  • A genuine path to a P&L or leadership role as the bets you build turn into businesses.
  • Work that matters — every cohort placed is a young person's first real income, and a hospital that can staff its floor.
